Hope you all had a nice weekend. My senior cat knocked my bedside water glass into my power strip and I'm wide awake now posting in the middle of the night. Before this moment, the weekend was nice though!
I played a bit of arc raiders and took down a giant matriarch with my best gear in a friendly lobby of players. I also started playing Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 and I'm having a good time being a creepy night creature. I had no real expectations for this game and it's shaping up very nicely into a great little RPG romp with detective noir flair and some pretty solid writing! It was nice to just watch the snow fall outside while biting necks in wintery Seattle.
Oh, and I've been braising meat lately with my slow cooker. it's fun and great for meal prep that still tastes amazing. This Aussie chef on YouTube showed me the way.
@pyxel I can relate to trying to balance the hours. As Steve mentioned, I'm debating whether fulltime commitment is worth it for the stress. I'm enjoying my 30 hour hard limit a week, but I see the team putting in a lot of work, in including a lot on the resident Hellerphant, and I really wanna help get this thing across the line. Shipping a game I'm proud of is important to me but trying to stay at a healthy distance when decisions are beyond my control is hard. I wish you the best with the grind dude, I'm sure it can't be easy with kiddo responsibilities!
